Three days ago I presented the photo of a rather humble summer cottage, built 1870/71. So here you get a real villa. It's a bit older, from the late 1850ies probably (architect: Friedrich Hitzig), and belonged to just one banker, Carl Fürstenberg, and his family. The address was Victoriastraße 7, right in the middle of the highly prestigious Tiergarten quarter. When Fürstenberg (a longtime member of the Society of Friends, of course) sold it at around 1900, the new owner, Eduard Simon (a Friend, as well), tore it down - to built his own villa (1902-1904, architect: Alfred Messel).
