I picked up a copy of this biography after watching part of the HBO series at my Aunt and Uncle's house. If you haven't seen it, rent the series or put it on your queue, because they are seriously good. Hopefully they'll be arriving via Netflix at our house pretty soon.
And as for the book, pretty good so far. Much more like a novel than a dry and boring history book. I'm only around page 30, but I have complete faith in Mr. McCullough.
"I always consider the settlement of America with reverence and wonder, as the opening of a grand scene and design in providence, for the illumination of the ignorant and the emancipation of the slavish part of mankind all over the earth."
- John Adams
