It is handsomelly well written in real American English from the 19th century. The grammar and the syntax are flawless. It is Volume III of Jesse Ames Spencer (D.D., Columbia U. 1837) Magnum Opus.

Author J. A. Spencer (1816-1898) apprenticed as a typographer in New York City and attended Columbia University concurently. He wrote several other books on the Classics, theology, American history, English language poetry, grammars, etc, etc...
