Jake and the Thuringian Queen...

This is my small but very appreciative nod to Terry Gilliam and Heath Ledger -

I absolutely adore Gilliam's fantastic take on The Brothers Grimm and their stories, and this scene (3 mins 50 onwards) is one of my very favourites...

Jake has just climbed the tower and discovered the malevolent Thuringian Queen, who has cast a spell for eternal life, and kept herself alive for hundreds of years...
Unfortunately she didn't think to preserve her youth and so has aged and withered, imprisoned in the tower, while her jewels and clothes and finery rot around her, covered in cobwebs and dust...

In the film she's too aged and decrepit to move much, and stays lying down in her bed - but for the purposes of this silhouette, it worked better to have her sitting up.
Artistic license and all that. ;-)

Drawn to many repeated listenings of my musical hero, Mr Cave, and (rather incongrously) the utterly fabulous Mamma Mia soundtrack - which is wonderfully cheering :-)
